Forest2Market, Inc. has added two new timber price reports to its roster of publications, it
was announced today by Pete Stewart, company president and founder. The new reports will be issued
quarterly for North and South Carolina.
Dr. Robert Bardon, forester with the N.C. Extension Forestry said, “One of our roles in the
extension service is to provide the best information possible to individual landowners in North
Carolina. As an industry employing more than 120,000 in our state, having current and accurate raw
materials price data is important to support this industry’s contribution to North Carolina’s
economic health.”
Joel Felder, Forest Management Director of the South Carolina Forestry Commission said, “The
forest and wood products industry is the third largest manufacturer in South Carolina and vital to
the state’s future economic growth. The Forest2Market report will assist in the competitive
position in the global market of the state’s largest agricultural product.”
Stewart added, “We worked closely with North and South Carolina to provide a product for
timberland owners and others to support the vital forest products industry in these states and
their position in the global marketplace. Forest2Market is always ready to work with government
agencies to provide better quality information for the forest products industry. We thank Joel
and the South Carolina Forestry Commission and Robert and the North Carolina extension service for
using Forest2Market in their programs to support the timberland owners.
