Benchmarks allow companies to compare their data with aggregated industry data from other organizations.
Companies interested in improving their performance use them to set meaningful goals, gain insight into trends occurring across the industry and discover how they are doing compared to their peers.
"You might know the price you buy and sell timber at, but how do you know whether that price is a good one unless you know what the market is doing? Could you be making more? Paying less?
Forest2Market's Delivered Wood Raw Material Price Benchmarks are the standard against which suppliers and consumers of wood raw materials around the world measure their performance.
All wood raw materials sold or purchased by subscribers--and for which sufficient data exists--are reported by species (softwood and hardwood) and product class (logs and fiber). Select a region to see the species and products currently reported.
We adhere to strict and consistent standards in the collection, quality control and security of this data.
For our delivered price benchmarks, data is collected at the transaction level on a load-by-load basis. Once the data is in a Forest2Market database, we run a series of statistical quality checks to make sure data is consistent with the participating facility's historical records and our confidence and quality standards. Participants are required to report 100 percent of their transactions.
Forest2Market takes extraordinary measures to keep all data confidential and secure.
