Forest2Market Staff to Present at Various Industry Events

A number of Forest2Market representatives have plans to attend and present at various industry events in September and October. Please stop by and say hello.

In the Midwest, business lead Peter Coutu will be at the Lake States Logging Congress in Escanaba, Michigan on September 6. Peter will also be at Forest Resources Association Lake States Region fall meeting in Duluth, Minnesota on October 29 and 30.

Can the forestry industry build upon its past success to support new biomass markets? The Bioenterprise and I-95 Rural Economic Development Summit on September 19 and 20 in Florence, South Carolina will seek to answer that question.

Timber and fiber market analyst Javon Carter is scheduled to speak during the Building upon the Successes session on September 20. His presentation will focus on wood biomass trends throughout the Carolinas.

Stan Parton, Bioenergy Practice Manager, will attend the Platts Biofuels and Chemicals Conference in Chicago on September 26 and 27. He is also scheduled to present on the topic of bioenergy market drivers and their implication for timberland owners and foresters at the South Carolina Association of Consulting Foresters meeting in Columbia, South Carolina on October 15.

Later in the month, Stan and Suzanne Hearn, Vice-President of Marketing and Sales, will attend the U.S. Industrial Pellet Association's Annual Exporting Pellets Conference from October 27-29 in Miami.

Lumber Practice Manager Bob Bratton will be at three conferences this fall. Bob will be at the Virginia Forest Products Association annual convention on September 20-21 in Virginia Beach. He will also attend the Southern Forest Products Association fall meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 3-4 and the North American Wholesale Lumber Association (NAWLA) Traders Market in Las Vegas from October 23-25.

Suzanne Hearn will join Bob at the NAWLA Traders Market. She and Al Villamil, Market2Mill recovered fiber consultant, will attend the Arkansas Recycling Coalition Annual Conference & Trade Show in Eureka Springs from September 23-25. Suzanne and Al will also be at the Paper Recycling Conference & Trade Show held October 16-18 in Chicago. Stop by booth #42 and say hello.

Gordon Culbertson, Pacific Northwest Region Manager, will speak on the topic of wood fiber markets in the recovering economy at the Forest Resources Association Western Region fall meeting. The meeting will be held in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho on October 10.

Last but not least, Forest2Market founder, president and CEO Pete Stewart will speak on the topic of fiber supply to the Timber Products Inspection Bureau’s Board of Advisors on October 3 in Lake Lanier. Pete will also address the current and future economic importance of private forest owners to South Carolina at the South Carolina Forestry Association’s annual meeting in Asheville, North Carolina. Pete is scheduled to speak during the morning session on October 31.
